Yann Sella Releases New Single + Video “Turning Circles”

French producer Yann Sella has released his new single, “Turning Circles (feat Manchester Rain)”, alongside the official music video. The track will be available for purchase on August 8th and is taken from his forthcoming EP, Existence.

Based in the historic city of Lyon, Yann Sella makes music to escape into a sonic soundscape using synth lines and ambient pads to create an electronic masterpiece. The addition of Manchester Rain’s soft vocals gives the single a new dimension that adds deeper feeling to the listener.

The track opens up with a haunting high pitched symphonic sound with backing chanting and in the video, a mesmerizing filter of color plays off the rhythm for the first minute. As the track progresses, a more subtle synth takes hold, slowly building as a thumping bassline kicks in with a smooth drop that intertwines Manchester Rain’s vocals beautifully with the subtle and enchanting synths that draw listeners in, creating something wholly engaging and truly different in the electronic realm.

The inspiration behind his track comes from his instant mood, creating what he calls mental scenarios that allow the music to represent a world of imagination. We hear influences of Jon Hopkins and Moderat throughout the track as it progresses from a deep ambient sound to a complex rhythm and tapestry of musical influence. His musical interest doesn’t stop there as he also admires the work of London Grammar and score music composers such as Hans Zimmer and John Williams.
