生 Conform 死 are a five-piece nu-metal/hardcore band straight out of Western Australia’s Perth. The outfit formed in late 2015 and bring a broad blend of genres to the table – drawing inspiration from the roots of modern hardcore and 90’s – 2000’s nü-metal.
In light of the success with their EP released in 2016, Vol I: Cigarette Lullaby, today they are unveiling to the world their brand new single & video “Blood Eagle” and announcing their debut album Circa 94 – which will see it’s release on Friday May 18! The single “Blood Eagle” will be available from this Friday April 13 to stream and purchase and the album “Circa 94” will be available for pre-order across iTunes, Google Play, Bandcamp and Amazon on the same day.
They are also today announcing their tour dates to celebrate the release. Saturday May 19 is their hometown release show in Perth at Amplifier Bar with The Gloom in the Corner, Worlds Apart and Bitter Taste, Friday May 25 sees them playing an All Ages show Melbourne, VIC at Wrangler with She Cries Wolf, The Gloom in the Corner and The Colour Clear, and they round it out with an 18+ show in Melbourne on Saturday May 26 at Bang with I, Valiance, She Cries Wolf and The Gloom in the Corner!
Conform released this statement about the new single’s meaning: “Although Blood Eagle is wide open for personal interpretation and littered with jabs at various things we despise, the roots of the single’s initial theme stems from our love of the show “Vikings”. We noticed how the main character becomes increasingly frustrated with being stranded in one location and related that to our own frustrations and the excuses we make for not progressing forward in our own lives. Lying to ourselves to remain comfortable.”
