New Jersey alternative metalcore band This Curse have premiered the video for their new single, “Trauma Bond”, which is taken from their forthcoming EP, From The Darkest of Places, out April 13th.
““Trauma Bond” is a song about the vicious cycle of psychological harm that many of us fall into as we become more and more distant/detached from our significant other. Although I’m no advocate of giving up on something or someone you care about, there comes a point in a relationship where it is simply beyond repair. Admitting that to yourself is a good first step, but letting go of something or someone is much harder. We find comfort in what’s familiar to us, even if it’s the pain that someone causes you. A lot of us are bound to the trauma we become so accustomed to.” – Ethan Kennedy
“Shot and directed by Eric DiCarlo from Square Up Studios, the “Trauma Bond” video features two characters played by our friends Ricky Armellino (This Or The Apocalypse & producer of our upcoming album) and Lauren Kashan (Sharptooth). Both of them truly channeled the emotions of a couple in complete turmoil. We could not be happier with their performances, especially the fettuccini smack. Music video shoots can be a bit exhausting and tedious, but getting to work with Ricky and Lauren made it an awesome experience all around.” – Joey Galletta
