Miracle Glass Company Share Playlist

Indie Rock band Miracle Glass Company released this past month the fourth single taken from their debut album MG1, which is out now. To celebrate the single, the band has shared a playlist with Soundfiction that showcases not only where the band’s sound came from but also what inspired their debut album. Check out the playlist along with what the band had to say about it below.

“Here are a selection of the kind of songs we listen to either alone at home or together in the van on the way to a gig. Some of them may have even been in our head when we were thinking of making our debut album MGC1. For example, I definitely thought of Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience because they were classic 3 piece Rock n’ Roll bands just like us – I have memories of Listening to Jimi Hendrix with Austen long before we ever had the idea of the Miracle Glass Company – and I know Andy was thinking of Supergrass for the same reason, to give us a jumping off point for our own experiment with bass, drums and electric guitar. Crosby, Stills and Nash were the kings of 3-part harmony and Neil Young is a big hero too. The Beatles! Our manager, Bob Wallace went to see Blind Faith in Hyde Park as a young man and says it was one of the best days of his life, so we listen to that album some times. Toots and the Maytals is always fun. Austen especially digs the QOTSA. And sometimes we get into things we’ve never heard before, like LCD Soundsystem or Magic Mountain by Eric Burdon and War – fairly new discoveries for us. Our MGC bus is very much powered by music and often we’ll go for 8 hours or more with the tunes blasting as we roll on down the road. So have a listen and enjoy x”
