The Plot In You are no strangers to being the epitome of unpredictable both on and off the scene. Over the years and their four previous albums, the band have been an everchanging force of aggression, depression and all out fury. The world saw the bands most drastic change sonically with 2018’s DISPOSE, adding layered and textural electronic elements and an overall softer approach all the while still packing emotional punch with Landon Tewers’ poignant and vehement lyricism.
This intense passion continues with the first single from the upcoming album, “Face Me”. A song which dives into a relationship where one of the individuals is mentally and emotionally diminished to the point of breaking. The album as a whole seems as if it will follow pattern in the sense of subject matter. Landon Tewers’ had this to say:
“The album is about the end of things, the end of friendships, the end of relationships, and the end of people’s lives…There’s not a whole lot of hope…it was therapeutic to dispense all of these painful things from the past and wash out the negativity.”
The album, entitled Swan Song comes out September 17th, via Fearless Records. you can watch the video for “Face Me” below.
