From starting the year with their Greyscale Records debut EP You Won’t Come Home, to finishing the year by opening up the very first Good Things Festival, suffice to say 2018 was a big one for Melbourne’s Stuck Out. Vocalist Josh Walker cannot contain his gratitude as he looks back “Last year was a whirlwind for us. Selling out shows, supporting some of our idols as well as touring with our mates. The support we got after the EP release was astounding, and it really encouraged us moving forward.”
As 2019 begins, the band were eager to share the fruits of the labour that was the last twelve months, with their brand new single “Everything You Wanted”.
Lyrically, Walker explains the song comes from a very real and current place for him personally; that feeling of being lost and confused as we move through differing relationships with other human beings.“We really tried to encapsulate sincerity in this new single. It’s that feeling of not being good enough for the person you feel is too good for you and not quite knowing how to fix yourself.”
2018 set the bar very high for Stuck Out, but Walker promises they’re not resting on their laurels. “We’re very keen to get back out on the road this year and visit a few places we haven’t been to before. There might even be some more music out later in the year.”
