Nashville based indie-rock trio Coyote Choir have just premiered a lyric video for their current single, “Sing!” The video features a trio of cowboy mannequins performing karaoke to the anthemic track.
When asked about the inspiration behind the video, the band had this to say: “We knew we wanted to create lyric videos, but we wanted them to be interesting and to tell a story. We love cinema. So we started chatting with our good friend Dan Martinie who is a phenomenal videographer in town. He came up with the idea of filming mannequins and we were immediately on board. We started dreaming up a story about three mannequin cowboys trying to enjoy the finer things in life. Karaoke is only the beginning of their enjoyment!”
“Sing!” is featured on Coyote Choir’s forthcoming debut full-length, Vol. 1, which will see a release on November 2nd. The album is a spirited mix of indie rock, americana, and folk, blending the spirit of The War on Drugs and Ryan Adams with the nostalgic 80’s sheen of acts like Dire Straits and Traveling Wilburys.
SING! is the first single from Coyote Choir’s debut album, VOLUME 1. “We wrote SING! for someone close to us who has a beautiful voice but went through a season of quietness. The song is an encouragement and reminder to use the gifts you’ve been given to inspire others.”
