Elme Releases Debut Single “The Missing Piece”

Australian based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Elme has released his debut single, “The Missing Piece”; a song that documents the process of self-consolation and finding acceptance.

The track opens up with the plucking of an acoustic guitar before Elmes’ soft, melancholic vocals enter the fray with a somber message being delivered. As the song builds, more instrumentation is introduced into the fray, from skittering electronics to a subtle kick drum which lend credence to his origins of acoustic and singer-songwriter while blending it together with intricately composed electronica beats. All of these moments combine to make a lush, yet dark electronic sound that really pushes the folk style in the modern realm — especially for a song that was originally written in 2015.

A truly exciting prospect, Elme has a penchant for lyrical introspection and melodic nuance with themes ranging from the human condition to our collective obsession with pop culture.  He took break from music for a couple of years, but he has returned and is ready to fulfill his early promise and make a mark on the electronica folk scene.
