Canadian pop punk quintet Calling All Captains have announced that they’ve signed to Equal Vision Records. You can check out their new single and video for “Disconnected” below.
“We’re really stoked to be working with EVR. They’ve had some of our all time favourite bands, from Alexisonfire, to Pierce the Veil, to Say Anything,” explains guitarist Brad Bremner. “We’re a young band still, but we want to learn and get better. After meeting with Dan [Sandshaw], we clicked instantly and had nothing but good vibes when talking about the direction of the band and our visions. We’re excited to see what the future holds!”
In a small basement in St. Albert, lined with flags and posters of their favourite bands, Calling All Captains have been working tirelessly to grow their art since they formed in February of 2014. To date, the band has released two EP’s – A Way With Words (2014), and Disconnect (2016) and set up and executed several self-funded tours to support them, fearlessly cutting their teeth to earn every inch of traction. “This is what we love, and this is what we want to do. So, we make it happen” shares bassist Nick Malychuk. After a brief break in 2017 and some lineup changes, Captains came back stronger and more determined than ever, steadfast in their resolve to continue writing and growing as people, and as artists.
