The Plot In You Share Visually Arresting Video “The One You Loved”

It’s a busy time in The Plot in You’s world. The band will appear on the upcoming Underoath tour this fall and has shared its brand new video for “The One You Loved.” The visually arresting and gold-dipped clip was directed by drummer Mathis Arnell, who has creatively spearheaded all of the band’s prior videos for the album.

The video has a poignant theme. It examines connections from all corners of the earth and suggests that no matter how different we may be, whether we date the same or opposite sex, we are fundamentally the same when it comes to how our relationships ultimately affect us.

About the track, singer Landon Tewers said, “This track was the last to make it to the record, it explores the dynamic of disconnect and dissonance in a toxic unfixable relationship.”

Mathis also weighed in, saying, “The song has a very intimate feel to it and touches on a lot of emotional topics. So, I wanted something that would reflect that visually — without having to be too specific and literal. People from all walks of life can relate to the lyrics, so it made sense to represent that with a bunch of different imagery expressing an array of emotions.”
