Gold Coast-via New Zealand rock crew These Four Walls are returning to the fray today with a brand new single “Over & Over” – an ode to the wish that humans would connect more genuinely and more often – talking about the true feelings in their mind. Accompanying it is a video – an passionate performance of a song that pushes people to connect. Eager to carry on this success throughout 2018, These Four Walls are proud to release their latest single, “Over & Over”, with further releases planned in the coming months.
Vocalist Stephen Gibb elaborated on the meaning behind the new song.
“I have a tendency to write songs about overcoming personal demons. Whether I’m writing about myself or someone else in my life it’s a subject I keep coming back to.”
“Over & Over is a collection of thoughts that worm their way into my head when I snowball with self-doubt. The feeling of wanting to be like someone else. That sinking feeling when, to you, there is just no way out of a situation that clearly has an answer… it’s just blocked behind an Everest of overthinking and dread. This song is about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in those moments.”
“We share a world with millions of people that are happy to share what they had for lunch with thousands, and yet are petrified to share with one person what is actually going on in their head. I know I’m guilty of it. I think we all are.”
