Sydney based musician Lishi has released her new single, “Our Hearts”, the follow up to last year’s debut “Dropping Back”. The song was recorded recently with producer Xavier Dunn in his studio during a couple of extremely product days and is the first track to be lifted off of her forthcoming double A side single due out this Spring.
“Our Hearts” is starts off as an extremely somber piece that builds and lifts listeners up as it flows, thanks in part to a simplistic but emotional piano that underlies the music before further instrumentation and programming enters the fray. This subtleness to the tracks beginnings add to the soundscape and the crooning vocals of LISHI before fully exploding into a lush, cinematic sound that clearly draws inspiration from both classical and electronic styles of music.
