Sub-Radio Investigates Millennial Relationships in “What Are We”

Fresh off the release of their ridiculously fun seasonal EP, Holiday Hangover, DC pop-rock band Sub-Radio have dropped a new original tune that is bound to incite booty shakes. The track, entitled “What Are We” is an up-tempo masterpiece fitted with outstanding harmonies, gang vocals, pops of synth between driving guitar melodies, and a dance-inducing rhythm. It’s a striking debut from their highly anticipated EP, Headfirst, due out April 2018 (TBA).

The inspiration for this song came from looking around at our friends and peers and this enormous struggle they’re all having to put labels on their relationships. Everybody’s talking but nobody knows what talking means. Maybe for some people that works, but some of us are too neurotic for that kind of uncertainty. And sometimes even young people just want to lay their damn cards on the table. We wanted to write the soundtrack to that moment. – Sub-Radio
