Up and coming Los Angeles duo Toyko are reminding everyone to keep some perspective in the past, present, and future on their latest track “Golden Ones,” available today (July 26) exclusively on Billboard.
After a rare Craiglist connection gone right led to the band’s formation and a buzzy reception for lead single “You Do” in May, the group — comprised of New York and Boston transplants Zac and Matt — have reason to reflect on the “big picture.”
“Our intention…was to get the listener to take a step back and think about the past,” the band says of the song’s hook. “We’ve been fortunate enough to make it this far in this great baton-pass game of life, and it is now our turn to hold the torch.”
