Melbourne’s The Beautiful Monument are a locally-brewed force to be reckoned with. They have released a haunting video for their track “Sins”, the final track from the band’s album I’m The Sin, released in February this year. The group injects listeners with instantly relatable lyricism that levitates around themes of psychological strains, the pains and perils of broken relationships and the incessant impact of various forms of abuse.
The video for Sins follows the story of the one you love most turning out to be the one causing the most damage to you. The video depicts Lizi (singer) falling back into the same pattern of torture through different times. You see the doctor giving Lizi life but later attacking her behind a mask/façade before his true identity is revealed as being the one who had previously stitched her together.
