Flynn Effect Announce New Album ‘Obsidian’ + Release New Single “Fade”

Brisbane’s rock outfit Flynn Effect have announced their sophomore album, Obsidian, will release on August 4th. Today, the band bring a taste of the album with their new single, “Fade”. The entire album was recorded, mixed and mastered by guitarist Jesse Higginson and the band at his home studio.

On the topic of the new song and album, vocalist Tomina Vincent was forthright about the new direction. “Fade is all about going forward and persevering against all odds, no matter the setbacks and no matter the cost. Its a song about hope for the future, unity and the belief that together we can build something better. Fade was always our anthem of hope. We worked on this record for a couple of years and we faced some extremely difficult situations in our personal lives during that time, so it really shows where we were at and how we saw through the darkness of that period. We can’t wait to share this album with the world – its a record that we love and are extremely proud of, and I think the most honest piece of work we’ve created so far. It shows Flynn Effect in a whole new light.”
