New York indie-pop collective MisterWives have revealed an epic Mad Max-style video for their new single and anti-establishment anthem “Machine”. The video premiered with Billboard who said, “Set in an “end of the world”-like situation, the indie band dress as different characters (elephant, octopus, hummingbird, squirrel, dinosaur and stag) in the video, representing their own inner spirit animal while also fighting for what they believe in.”
Speaking to Billboard regarding the video the band say, “The ‘Machine’ music video exists in a post-apocalyptic world where colour and freedom to be one’s true self are prohibited. The visuals worked hand in hand with the distorted grungy and heavy tones and brought forth a very Mad MisterWives wasteland that we hope you enjoy.”
“Machine” is the lead single taken from their forthcoming new album Connect The Dots, due out 5/19 through Virgin/EMI.
