The Commuters Release New Music Video for “Before I Was Born”

New  York indie rockers The Commuters have premiered the new video for their track “Before I Was Born”, taken from their latest EP of the same name.

Frontman Zeeshan Zaidi told Impose Magazine, “The video was born out of a very personal moment – the passing of my grandmother last summer, just a few months before my wife and I were expecting our second child.” The contrasting emotions inspired an emotional song and a mesmerizing video. Created by indie filmmaker Mount Emult (Fountains of Wayne, Pixies, Panda Bear) and featuring bright blue kaleidoscopic graphics and animation, the visuals focus on the connecting piece between two of the most important people in Zaidi’s life: “We tried to explore the cycle of life-birth and death and the places they intersect.”
