Bayside, who embark on a co-headlining tour with Say Anything this Spring, debut the video for “Mary” the third clip to come from the band’s latest album, Vacancy.
The video finds the band as a narrative backdrop for the story of “Mary,” a young girl with dreams that belie her current station in life. The four-minute clip was directed by Jeremi Mattern (Danger Films) and filmed in Lubbock, Texas. Alternative Press said the wistful track was “worthy of filling any arena.”
Bayside forthcoming tour, with support from Reggie and the Full Effect (April 17 through May 14) and Hot Rod Circuit (May 16 through May 27), kicks off on April 17 in Houston. The six-week outing, which finds the New York-by-way-of-Nashville band joined by friends Say Anything for one of the genre’s most anticipated tours of the year. “I’ve been a big Say Anything fan for a long time,” said Bayside vocalist and guitarist, Anthony Raneri. “It’s always a special treat to be able to watch a great band that I’m genuinely a fan of every night when we’re on the road. Our goal with touring packages these days is to try and tour with bands that we think our fans either will or already do love. We’re always paying attention to what other bands our fans like and what band’s shirts we see at the shows. Say Anything is definitely one band that we’ve known for a long time that our fans would love to see us with”.
