MAKO Release New Single “Let Go of the Wheel”

With their debut album Hourglass less than a month away, MAKO have released another new track off the record with “Let Go of the Wheel”. The song sees a serene guitar and piano combo pair beautifully with Alex Seaver’s love-hued lyrics, exploding as he sings of simpler times and future days.

“Let Go Of The Wheel” sits alongside other highlights such as: “Wish You Back” featuring Kwesi;  “Smoke Filled Room,” MAKO’s breakthrough single which soared into pop and dance radio airplay charts via continuous support on SiriusXM’s BPM and iHeartRadio’s Evolution channels and landed at #1 on the Dance Airplay chart; “North Dakota,” a stunning and unique soulful ballad about finding solace outside of the big city; “Run for Your Life,” which is three minutes of pop genius produced with the help of Norway’s Rat City and features a guest vocal from Natalola; and “Craziest Day I Ever Had,” a hilarious tale of misadventure in Los Angeles.

This song is a special one for us! It was our first experience working from a true blank canvas…it was terrifying, inspiring and exhilarating all at once. We wanted to tell an honest story without inhibition, without worrying about genres and without fear of what anyone else would think.
