Canadian indie-pop outfit Paper Lions have released a new track, “End of July”, from their forthcoming album, Full Colour, due out 9/16. Since reaching #10 on the Billboard ‘Next Big Sound’ chart in 2012, the band has spent many weeks in the top 10 in Sirius XM’s Canadian Grocery List chart, represented Canada at the World Expo in Shanghai, and racked up 8 million views on their “Traveling” music video.
Paper Lions has been working on their new album Full Colour for the past two years and are finally ready to unveil it to the world. The process for this record is, to the band, novel. Previously, they would write songs in a jam space, take them on the road, then spend a month in the studio. This time around, the band went right to the studio and tracked songs three to four times before deciding on the final version with producer and mixer Andrew Maury (RAC, Panama Wedding, Lewis Del Mar). The reasons why they’ve done it differently this time are clear – they’ve evolved as musicians and songwriters.
