Producers Damiano C and Yulia Niko combine forces with female vocalist Harper for their joint EP, Affair. Out now via Subliminal Records, the two-track EP features smooth and bass heavy rhythms, perfect for the club and the after party alike. The first single off the release, “High & Low” combines heavy kicks, a groovy bass line, and muted synths, while “Right” follows suit with punchy percussion and melodic keys.
Damiano C found his calling at a young age, born into a musical family and writing songs by the age of six. As soon as he could afford his first pair of Technique 1200, he began DJing, ultimately meeting his long time collaborator Serge Devant in the in the New York City club circuit. The two began writing and producing together, crafting the recent hit “Fearing Love,” which was signed to Jamie Jones’ and Lee Foss’ Emerald City imprint.
Producer, singer, DJ and songwriter Harper has established herself as one to watch, collaborating with artists including Nu Sky, Escuche and Erick Morillo, in addition to performances at noted venues Verboten and Marquee in New York and Sound in Los Angeles. Between an intensive tour schedule and three new EPs set for release this year, Harper oversees her own label SEEN, a deep house-oriented collective that features various musicians and designers, creating a one of a kind audio/visual experience.
