One of my favorite things is being introduced to new bands and artists that offer a fresh twist on my favorite genres. That is exactly what newly formed post hardcore/experimental duo One Gone Thus offer with their new single “Self & Soul” premiered on New Noise Magazine. The track lives on their upcoming debut EP Impermanence which will be released independently on 6/3. The eclectic mix on the upcoming EP incorporates varying styles and elements, but aims to deliver the band’s explicit message that “all things are impermanent and subject to change”.
“We’re not necessarily easy to categorically define, but we feel that we’ve created something very unique in both its sound and message,” Eagle continues in a statement to New Noise. “This EP is comprehensively DIY and we are both extremely proud with what we have made and accomplished thus far. We care about the message that we send because it carries with it an immense weight and responsibility and though it’s obviously meaningful to us, we hope that others will be able to find meaning in it as well.”
Impermanence will be available for free on June 3rd via Bandcamp.
