To our dear friends,
Last night, Hearts & Hands played our last show ever. We are eternally grateful not only to the friends and fans in our hometown/those who drove from states away to make it an unforgettable night, but to all of those who that have reached out to tell us how they wish they could have been there. You have all made the last couple of years completely amazing. Through all of the changes we’ve made and struggles we’ve endured, so many people have remained in our corner. Which is why bringing a close to this chapter in our lives is so hard.
10 months ago we went into the studio to make what would have been Hearts & Hands 3rd record. We put everything we are into those songs, and seeing that album come to life has been everything to us. But at the end of the day we have to face the fact that Hearts & Hands is not who we are anymore. We had hit rock bottom. A new low. And when you hit rock bottom you have two choices;
Lay down and fade away, or get back up.
Sadly, there will be no new Hearts & Hands record.
At our lowest point we had come to the realization that we had grown so much, not only as a band, but as individuals, because of the very struggles that seemed to drive us to our end. We knew that what it all came down to, was that this new low was, in many ways, the best thing that could happen to us. We had an opportunity to face our past, present, and future, and decide what we wanted to be and just be happy with whatever came next.
With that being said, we are beyond excited to finally reintroduce ourselves as The New Low. Our new record, Continuance, will be available early in the new year (via Razor & Tie) with lots of exciting new things to come VERY soon. We hope that you are just as excited for this new chapter as we are, and look forward to seeing a whole lot of you in the upcoming year. As always, we thank you all for your support and can’t wait to share more soon!
